Where did the week go? Where is the summer going? Spent a good part of the week offline, and boy, did I need that. In an effort not to be too neglectful of my dear blog readers, here’s a post in pictures.
One of the reasons I’ve been so busy is I’ve been preparing for the paperback release of Elixir Bound this fall, including this massive blog tour! Stay tuned for more specific details on this. I have a feeling you all will be sick of me by the time September ends! π
And now for some fun summer pics!
What have you been up to this summer?
Very sweet. It looks like you and the boy have been having a really good time!
We have, Suzanne! Trying to make the most of our summer! π
Hey, Katie. Excited for you the print edition is coming out this fall!
Pictures are so great. Where were you?
We haven’t been yet. We’re going over Labor Day weekend to Angel Fire, New Mexico. Friends have a house. A group of us usually gets together every year around spring break, but pushed it this year to the almost fall to avoid possible snow in March.
My favorite place to go is Maine and fortunately, we’re going in October. Thinking about setting a book there, so I’ll be doing some research as well as just enjoying the spectacular scenery.
Thanks, Marsha! Super excited about the paperback release.
All these pics are actually just us out and about in and around our hometown. We’re not going away until September…and even then it won’t be too far from home.
Enjoy your trips! I’ve never been to New Mexico but hear it’s beautiful. I have been to Maine…so rustic and gorgeous.
Love the pics! Looks like you guys have been having fun π And good luck with the blog tour. I really need to get on some kind of paperback release plan (which sounds like a self-help thing…hmm, that may be a little too true!). Hope you have an awesome weekend!
We are having a great summer, Meradeth! Trying to enjoy all the little moments with my little guy.
I’m feeling totally overextended with the release, but I’m just plugging away at all the work. You’re always welcome on this blog. π
The Boy is definitely sprouting… they do it in summer, don’t they.
Congratulations on the paperback. I see good things for Elixir Bound. I braved reading it on my computer, and now I can recommend it for others who don’t E-read!
Hi, Mirka! He is sprouting, looking more little kid and less baby every day.
I appreciate so much you braving the ebook version without an ereader. I hope the print format will reach some new readers.
The pic w/the grapes is so sweet!
Thanks, Leandra…would you believe they’re actually blueberries!
I too love the picture of Boy with grapes –looks like an advertisement.
I spent some time with family in a rustic log cabin perched on a woody mountain peak.
It was busy days with the kids, but I got a chance to read “Elixir Bound” at nights. It was the perfect book for the setting!
Good luck with the print release.
Hi, Loren! The Boy gets so many compliments on those Batman sunglasses…and he’s such a ham with pictures…a little star in the making!
Sounds like a very relaxing and picturesque vacation. Did a little happy dance when I saw you read Elixir Bound. Thanks so much for all your support!
Hope you’ve had a glorious summer with your family. Those blueberries look juicy & yummy!
