The Willimantic Public Library is hosting the Eastern CT Children’s Book Fair with Katie as the featured middle grade author. Join her for a presentation at 12:45, followed by a book signing. Other featured authors include Patrick Scalisi, Barbara McClintock, Jon Buller, and Daisy Torres.

August Friday, August 4 – Sunday, August 6 – SCBWI Summer Conference 2023
Immerse yourself in a vibrant digital environment made to uplift, inspire, and inform you about how to make your story come vividly to life for children everywhere. Engage in hands-on sessions led by industry experts. Explore the many aspects of children’s book creation from writing, to illustrating, to storytelling and character development. There are sessions specifically for illustrators, traditionally published & self-published authors, nonfiction writers, picture book writers and more! Every attendee has access to the content of all 50 sessions for up to one month after the conference concludes.

Join Katie for Quarry Walk’s First Annual Meet the Author event! The event boasts more than 20 authors in attendance, offering attendees the opportunity to meet and interact with them!
There will be live music on the green, as well as day-of raffles with over two dozen signed copies of books up for grabs. Visitors can also enjoy shopping and dining at any of the boutiques and restaurants located within Quarry Walk.
