Baby’s due date is fast approaching, so if I’m bit quiet on the blog over the next month or so, don’t fret. I’ll make sure to post a baby update when the time comes and I’ve got some great guest posts lined up. I might even go and grab a few old posts from the archives and rerun them. We’ll see!
Local peeps, be sure to check out Local Authors Day on June 11, 2014 in honor of the 375th anniversary of the founding of Milford, CT. I may be making an appearance (if baby’s arrival cooperates) and will post Β more details soon. In the meantime, here’s a quick and easy post of pictures from spring!

How was everyone’s spring? What are you looking forward to doing this summer?
Looks like The Boy is a Batman fan. My youngest has that same shirt. I’m looking forward to fresh cherries, peaches, and cold water on the Lake Michigan shore.
Yup, definitely a big Batman fan…though he hasn’t actually seen any movies and we don’t watch the cartoon either. I think he likes Batman because his daddy does.
Fresh produce is one of my favorite things about summer. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. We always go strawberry picking and later in the summer blueberry picking.
The Boy will need a lot of attention soon, when The Baby joins your joyous bunch. Keeping happy thoughts for you, Katie!
Thanks, Mirka! The Boy most certainly will need extra attention. In some ways, I’m more worried about him than about the whole birthing another child and remembering out how to take care a newborn thing. We’ve been hyping up having Nana come stay overnight while Mommy and Daddy go to the hospital to have the baby, and I’ve heard a trip with Nana to the toy store is on tap, so there’s that. π
Great shots! You all look like you’re having fun π I’m just so happy spring and summer is here–hopefully I’ll get some good writing time in!
Thanks! Lately I’ve just been trying to keep up with him, but we have been having fun. I hope you get that writing time, Meradeth. Always excited to read more of your stories. π
Love these pictures! Watching children play and laugh is possibly one of the greatest privileges we have. I look forward to more reading, writing, painting and rest in summer … Take good care, Katie!
Thanks, Claudine! Sounds like some wonderful summer plans…I’d like all that too (except maybe the painting part).
I’m looking forward to getting back to my WIP once my kids and I establish a routine again. My little girl loves to sleep but more alert and has trouble settling down when her big brothers are making noise.
You have a lovely family. Sending you good thoughts for a safe labor.
I know what you mean about getting back into a schedule, Kimberly. I hope you and your family have a great summer! Thanks for the well wishes on my labor day. π
